​Open Events at FMF 2015

The College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Family Medicine Forum 2015 is ​taking place from Nov. 11-14 and is a great opportunity to network with colleagues, earn CPD credits and share ideas. With 180 clinical sessions, 50 Mainpro-C accredited workshops and special events, the conference is sure to have something for everyone

The OCFP invites​ any Ontario members who will be in the Toronto area to attend a number of special events that do not require FMF registration. Where noted a guest pass is required for entry and can be picked up at the FMF registration desk. Guest passes are for specific events only and cannot be used to attend any other sessions.
Ontario Member Events
  • Reception for the OCFP Poverty & Health Community of Practice (Nov. 11, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Bldg., 700 Level Foyer) – An informal celebration of the launch of a new network for family physicians that will facilitate the exchange of poverty and health resources and best practices. Guest pass required.
  • The 53rd Annual Meeting of Members (Nov. 12, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m., Delta Toronto SOCO Ballroom A) – Join us to hear about how the OCFP is supporting members, elect new members to the Board and approve Bylaws.
  • The OCFP President's Installation and Awards Ceremony (Nov. 12, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Delta Toronto SOCO Ballroom B/C) – Welcome our 2015-16 President Dr. Sarah-Lynn Newbery to her new role and celebrate the winners of this year’s Family Physicians of the Year, Community Teacher and Resident Teacher of the Year, Family Practice of the Year and Awards of Excellence.
  • The So You Think You Can Research? Ontario Resident Research Competition (Nov. 14, 8:30 a.m. - 10:​15 a.m., Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Bldg., Room 716A) – A showcase of the most highly rated, practical research and/or scholarly projects developed by our future leaders in family medicine – the Ontario residents from the class of 2015. Guest pass required.
