Dr. Jobin Varughese

Dr. Jobin VarugheseDr. Jobin Varughese is a family medicine physician with a comprehensive practice involving office based, subacute and long term care medicine. Dr. Varughese is also the 2017-19 co-chair of the OCFP's Practising Wisely: Reducing Unnecessary Testing and Treatment continuing professional development program.

Dr. Varughese completed his Family Medicine Residency and Geriatric Fellowship from William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, USA.  Since coming back to Brampton, he has been a family physician at Queen Square Family Health Team, with a practice from paediatrics to geriatrics. He also sees rehabilitation patients at William Osler Health System working in an interdisciplinary team. Dr. Varughese is also the Medical Director of Faith Manor and Associate Medical Director of Grace Manor, as well as family physician for many elderly patients living independently at Holland Christian Homes.

Dr. Varughese serves as a board director for the Ontario Long Term Care Physicians, as well is being a active as an educator of medical pre-clerkship and clerkship students and residents at the University of Toronto and McMaster University as well as Nurse Practitioner students at York University.  He is a course facilitator for Pallium Canada's Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP) course and the OCFP's Practising Wisely: Reducing Unnecessary Testing and Treatment.
